How to, as knifemaker evaluate your own work, and from a collector's point of view, how to become a discerning buyer.

Knife making is in a way very much like figure drawing, or drawing portraits. You need to learn how to look, in order that you may see. My worked improved by leaps and bounds when I realized that I am unable to see my mistakes, because I do not know what to look for. So, once a month I would take some my knives to other knifemakers and ask them to show me my mistakes. As I learned what to look for, I found ways of preventing those mistakes from happening.
