Bottom blast coal forge

A forge is source of heat for the blacksmith and is used to heat iron or steel to forging or welding heat.

Common forges are charcoal, coal, coke and gas forges.
Each of these can be subdivided into categories:
Charcoal, coal and coke forges can be side or bottom blast. (The air blast coming from the side or from the bottom of the forge, each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Gas forges can be forced air or naturally aspirated.

Your choice of forge will be determined by your skill as smith.
